The contract position is for a UX and UI Designer to join our IT development team for 3 months. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering and Chief Operating Officer, the role will be responsible for assisting with IT developments efforts with upcoming Web2 and Web3 Development projects.
The role will include creating user-centric designs which will enable higher user-engagement, informational clarity and improve conversion performances for both Web2 based user interfaces and Web3 DeFi and GameFi functions.
Key Responsibilities
Work with team leads during the Discovery process to define the scope and high-level requirements of a project.
Create, improve and use story board, wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods
Present and defend your design decisions. All your design decisions should be based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. color theory, visual weight, etc.)
Develop flows that tell the story of a user’s journey with a given feature or mechanic, and can be used as part of a larger detailed spec.
Support the development team to bring designs to life, including reviews, feedback cycles, agile and adjustments.
Requirements
Good understanding and insatiable curiosity of all things crypto gaming, blockchain and DeFi.
A demonstrated ability to illustrate a customer’s journey through a social media or ecommerce platform.
A high level of comfort with common UX methodologies and tools, including research, journey mapping, screenflows, and iteration.
A strong affinity for collaboration and working with others to create designs.
Skills and experience that will make you stand out
Experience with building website with Javascript or React
Avid Gamer and demonstrate understanding of designs which resonates with gamers
Must have
Adaptability in an SME / startup environment
Communication and presentation skills, high interpersonal skills.
Abilities to set achievable and measurable personal goals for performance and growth and juggle multiple competing deadlines.
A growth mindset and desire to continually learn and share new techniques and ideas
A passion for games and blockchain-related technologies
